Andy O'Connell
Paediatric Nurse
Andy O’Connell is a NMC registered paediatric nurse, with extensive experience of working across community and tertiary healthcare settings since qualifying in 2017. Previous to his undergraduate nurse training, Andy worked across mental health services including IAPT and drug and alcohol services. Post qualifying, he has since specialised in care for people with learning disabilities, autism and ADHD. He gained his first master's degree in 2024 with an MA in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and is currently working towards his MSc in Psychology. He has undertaken training in CBT and in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS 2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R).
